Pamela and Patty:

Your opinions mean a lot, so I'm delighted to read what you thought about the book. Thanks for promoting the free book giveaway contest. (Hey, folks, get on over there, you only have until Feb. 14 to enter...)

For me personally, I enjoyed the community aspect of the book. It was quite cool how readers across the globe were interacting in real-time with the authors during the process. Just another example of how social media is making the world a smaller place.

By the way, I agree with Jean Ann completely ... when you want a little more of this particular personality, you just let me know. It would be my pleasure... Warm regards, Teresa (aka Seasonal Wisdom)

The layout is especially "fresh," agreed! I think the visuals will appeal particularly to "newbie" gardeners--which is great and, I think, part of the authors' intention. (As you know, more traditional garden book designs can veer toward being too static, scientific and sort of dry. Not that there's anything wrong with that...)

We here at Horticulture got our review copy yesterday and it's met with good reviews all around. Two art directors were drooling over the gorgeous cover art, and one of them immediately pointed out the clever layout of the book as computer screens/tabs, etc.

I hear what you're saying about wanting a bit more of each contributor's personality to shine through (they're amazing women!) but that's always a tough balance on collaborations.

I give it a personal thumbs up!
