For the last few years, I’ve struggled to come to terms with the common Ashe juniper. (Note that down here in Central Texas, we call it “cedar,” but that’s not it’s real name.)
A few months ago, as part of my coming to terms, I started writing a series of stories about cedars and “cedar fever”:
- Give Cedars a Break on DailyYonder.com
- How to Fight the Area’s Peskiest Pollen
- Central Texas Cedar Fever Warning
This whole cathartic process has a new phase: podcasting.
Yup, I’ve been interviewed on Gardening Confidential about the crazy cedar phenomenon on FineGardening.com. You can hear it here.
UPDATE: As if to prove my point from the podcast re: cedars being big business, I present this local ad that I discovered in January 2012.
