Inaugural Online Homegrown Kids Workshop to Start in March

Homeschooling comes in array of colors. Let's figure out which one will work best for your family.

Note that the Facebook Grew Crew got an early peek at this post yesterday–and first dibs on the remaining spots. Consequently, only TWO spots one spot remains.

Update: The first workshop is now filled. That was FAST! If you’d be interested in a future workshop (April or May 2012), please send an email as instructed at the bottom of this post. I will forward details to a private list first, once I’ve worked out dates and cost, etc. for the next one.

Next month, I’m offering a free, month-long Homegrown Kids Homeschooling Workshop for folks seriously contemplating homeschooling their pre-K through 3rd grade-aged kids–be it for a little while or the long haul. Secular and faith-based would-be homeschoolers are all welcome to participate.

This workshop will be based on Facebook, in a private group. We will “meet” at our leisure online, Monday-Friday throughout March 2012.

I have room in the class for only 4 2 1 more people person. (When I shared this idea on my private FB page, I got several “takers” right away.) We will be joined by one “seasoned” homeschooler, too, who can offer a slightly different perspective than my own.

If you’d like to join this group, please either leave me a comment below or send a private email to redwhiteandgrew AT gmail DOT com by Wednesday (February 29, 2012) at noon CST. Please share a little bit about “why” you want to participate so I can be sure that the workshop is a good fit for you and your family.

Note that while I anticipate offering this workshop again in the spring, this is the only time that it will be offered completely free of charge.

So if you’ve been on the fence about homeschooling and think this workshop might be useful, then don’t hesitate.
