Spirit of the Fourth: Enterprise, Alabama

The Boll Weevil Monument, decked out for July 4th.

We just got back from vacation, where we discovered that Enterprise, Alabama was a finalist in Rand McNally’s Best of the Road Rally. The category? Most Patriotic.

Figures, seeing as Enterprise is home to Fort Rucker. (That’s where my late father-in-law was stationed.)

Anyway, with the contest in mind and the Fourth of July on the horizon, the residents went full-tilt with Old Glory and her colors.

Thinking perhaps some of y’all would enjoy a glimpse at small town views, I headed over to my favorite Enterprise street and shot some photos. Enjoy!

Home! I’m typing in my backyard and doing video for my online homeschool workshop.

No trip to Auburn this time. Maybe next?

    Thanks for the share!

Thanks for holiday photos of my hometown! Now I’m feeling nostalgic, but in a very good way!
